The Public Lecture series at Cranbrook Academy of Art is a critical and idiosyncratic look into the conversations and inquiry that drives the 11 departments in Art, Architecture and Design.
Each year we kick-off our public lecture series with lectures by our own Artists-in-Residence. We invite the public to join us as they discuss their practice, philosophy and current projects.
On Sept. 17, we will be hearing from:
– Carla Diana, Designer-in-Residence and Head of 4D Design (the Academy’s newest department)
– Ian McDonald, Artist-in-Residence, Head of Ceramics
– Iris Eichenberg, Artist-in-Residence, Head of Metalsmithing
This event is FREE.
