Michelangelo Pistoletto, Il Terzo Paradiso (The Third Paradise)

Join us for a site-specific performance of Michelangelo Pistoletto’s Il Terzo Paradiso (The Third Paradise) in Detroit’s historic Fisher Building. Pistoletto’s career spans six decades as one of the leading artists in contemporary art and a preeminent figure of the arte povera movement. Il Terzo Paradiso (The Third Paradise) is based on the artist’s manifesto to find a humanist negotiation between nature and artifice. The project has taken various performative and installation-based forms throughout the world. In Detroit, The Third Paradise symbol will be created through an epic performance of Mosaic Youth Theatre of Detroit, with a finale performance by Tunde Olaniran.
