In response to the Governor’s recent order allowing museums to reopen, we will be instituting public hours again soon. First, we must install our new exhibition and ensure we are putting safety measures in place to keep all visitors safe and healthy. Please continue to visit our website for information on an opening date in the next several weeks. For now, we remain closed, and will not open to the public on June 8.

To ensure that Cranbrook Art Museum remains a safe, secure, and welcoming place for our visitors, we have been closely following the recommendations of the CDC and State of Michigan regarding the coronavirus (COVID-19). Our first priority is always the health and well-being of our guests across the entire Cranbrook Educational Community.

What We Are Doing

• We have instituted deep cleaning measures throughout museum facilities, including extra sanitizing of high-traffic areas, doorknobs, and front desk spaces.
• We are closely monitoring the latest recommendations from the Centers for Disease Control (CDC), the World Health Organization (WHO), and state and local government agencies and responding to recommendations in real-time. We are in discussions daily as the situation develops.
• We have added signage in our bathrooms to encourage best practices for hand washing.
