SUMMARY:Adult ArtMaking Workshop: Polymer Projects
DESCRIPTION:Join us for artist-led workshops on select Thursday evenings an
 d Saturday mornings. Each two-hour workshop will feature a different artma
 king theme\, drawing inspiration from artwork in our collection. All level
 s of artistic experience are welcome\, as participants are encouraged to e
 xperiment with new materials and creative techniques.  \n\nSelect Thursda
 ys from 5:30–7:30pm\; select Saturdays from 10:30am-12:30pm\, $25 per pa
 rticipant\, intended for ages 16 and up. Pre-registration is required thro
 ugh our website. All materials are provided. \n\n&nbsp\;\n\nUpcoming Adul
 t ArtMaking Workshops:  \n\nOctober 24 – Polymer Projects\nPolymer cla
 y offers endless opportunities for creativity! You can choose which clay p
 rojects interest you most\, including magnets\, charms\, mini bud vases\, 
 abstract photo frames\, or a design of your own. \n\nNovember 5 – Block
  Weaving\nThis relaxing weaving technique focuses on colors and textures. 
 Design a woven composition around a wooden block frame that is ready to ha
 ng.  \n\nDecember 3\, 5 – Anna Sui Accessories\nFashion Designer Anna 
 Sui develops unique accessories for each of her collections. Drawing inspi
 ration from decades of her work on view at the museum\, create your own ac
 cessories using a variety of interesting mixed media materials. \n\n\nJan
 uary 21\, 23 – Repurposed Fabric Landscapes\nAnna Sui’s fashion design
 s are a testament to the upcycling process\, repurposing fabric to give te
 xtiles new life.  Design layered landscapes using discarded textiles p
 aired with mixed media accents. \n\nFebruary 4\, 6 – Abstract Painting 
 Books\nExplore abstract painting with a focus on color and mark-making. Co
 mbine your paintings with book arts to create an accordion book with mixed
  media covers. \n\nMarch 4\, 6 – Make It Mini\nDiving into a miniature 
 world helps change our creative perspectives! Make your own collection of 
 mini objects to create a curated collection for display.   \n\nApril 15
  – Charm School\nThis fun workshop will be nostalgic and inventive\, per
 fect for bringing out your inner child! Refresh your childhood shrink art 
 and beading techniques to create unique bag charms and key chains.
