Dates: Aug 1, Aug 8, Aug 15 (6-8pm)

Explore your interests through a variety of sculpture methods including classical and hand-building techniques and surface decoration, to create representational and abstract forms, as well as functional vessels. Coil, slab, and pinch construction is covered along with slip painting and sgraffito. This introductory class will provide an overview of the elements of design applied to 3-dimensional form.

Whether you’re new to art or seeking a creative challenge, Adult Summer Classes are an affordable, fun way to hone your creativity or learn a new technique! Learn the fundamentals of weaving or ceramic basics with other art enthusiasts.

Each class runs for three Thursday sessions in the Art Lab, and are taught by experienced artists and designers from the Cranbrook Academy of Art.

$125 for all 3 classes / $110 for ArtMembers
