 olo museum exhibition\, Akea Brionne: A Dreaming Hour. \n\nBased in Metr
 o Detroit\, Akea Brionne works at the intersection of lens and fiber-based
  media. Through observations focusing on the African Diaspora\, Brionne ut
 ilizes emerging technologies\, such as artificial intelligence and digital
  weaving\, to translate surreal compositions into multidimensional tapestr
 ies adorned with glitter\, oil pastels\, and rhinestones.\n\nAkea Brionne 
 holds an MFA in Photography from Cranbrook Academy of Art. Akea Brionne: A
  Dreaming Hour is the fourth installment of Cranbrook Art Museum’s Fre
 sh Paint series\, which highlights recent work by Detroit-area contemp
 orary artists.\nFree and open to the public with museum admission.
