SUMMARY:CAA Visiting Artist Lecture: Laura Plageman
DESCRIPTION:Laura Plageman transforms her photographs through image layerin
 g and collage to reflect an experiential view of nature and explore contem
 porary issues in landscape and photography. Her work has been shown and pu
 blished nationally and internationally\, including with the De Soto Galler
 y in Los Angeles\, Pictura Gallery in Bloomington\, Indiana\, the Houston 
 Center for Photography in Houston\, TX\, and Lightfield Arts in New York a
 nd is held in numerous private collections. She earned a BA in Art History
  from Wesleyan University and an MFA from the California College of the Ar
 ts. Laura lives and works in Oakland\, CA with her partner and their two d
 aughters.\n\nThis lecture is free and open to the public. Museum admission
  is free for all on Thursdays.\n\nHosted by the Photography department at 
 Cranbrook Academy of Art.
