 to creating and embodying the worlds they wish to see\, Tunde and adrienne
 ’s orbits collided in the effervescent creative cauldron that is southea
 st Michigan. Tunde was a contributing author to 2015's Octavia’s Brood\,
  a sci-fi/visionary fiction anthology co-edited by adrienne maree brown an
 d Walidah Imarisha. Olaniran also produced the Detroit book release of Oct
 avia's Brood\, which led to more creative direction and production work wi
 th Allied Media Conference (2016-present) including multiple performance c
 ollaborations with brown\, as well as guests like Angelica Ross\, Mariame 
 Kaba\, Tarana Burke\, adrienne maree brown and Esperanza Spalding. adrienn
 e co-wrote the track "Symbol\," the debut single from Tunde's sophomore al
 bum\, Stranger.  \n\nadrienne maree brown is the writer-in-residence at t
 he Emergent Strategy Ideation Institute\, and author of Grievers (the firs
 t novella in a trilogy on the Black Dawn imprint)\, Holding Change: The Wa
 y of Emergent Strategy Facilitation and Mediation\, We Will Not Cancel Us 
 and Other Dreams of Transformative Justice\, Pleasure Activism: The Politi
 cs of Feeling Good\, Emergent Strategy: Shaping Change\, Changing Worlds a
 nd the co-editor of Octavia’s Brood: Science Fiction from Social Justice
  Movements and How to Get Stupid White Men Out of Office. She is the co-ho
 st of the How to Survive the End of the World\, Octavia’s Parables and E
 mergent Strategy podcasts. adrienne is rooted in Detroit.  \n\nTunde Olan
 iran is a musician\, producer\, writer\, and filmmaker based in Flint\, Mi
 chigan. Their second album\, Stranger (2018)\, was called a “finely cali
 brated mix of purpose and playfulness\, executed to stylish perfection” 
 by NPR and “at once triumphant and defiant” by The New Yorker.   \n
 \nIn addition to their own work\, Olaniran co-wrote and produced “Hijabi
 ” and “Dog” by Mona Haydar\, directing the viral video for “Hijabi
 \,” which was named one of the top 20 protest songs by Billboard Magazin
 e. Tunde was also a contributing author to Octavia’s Brood\, a visionary
  fiction anthology edited by adrienne maree brown and Walidah Imarisha. 
  \n\nOlaniran was named a 2018 Art Matters Fellow and a 2019 United State
 s Artists Music Fellow\, alongside artists like Juliana Huxtable and Helad
 o Negro. In 2021\, during a research residency at the University of Michig
 an\, they released a collaborative single entitled “Doorway” with cell
 ist Yo-Yo Ma\, who named Tunde one of the most innovative artists of 2019.
  Olaniran is currently producing a third studio album for a 2022 release\,
  as well as a mixtape featuring artists like My Brightest Diamonds and Tun
 e-Yards. In 2021\, Tunde directed and produced their first experimental sh
 ort film\, Made a Universe\, which will premiere in June 2022\, commission
 ed by Cranbrook Art Museum\, with support from John S. and James L. Knight
