SUMMARY:Daniel Libeskind: The Edge of Order
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a public lecture and book signing with Daniel Libes
 kind. He is the founder and principal of Studio Daniel Libeskind\, founded
  in Berlin in 1989 and now operating in New York City.\n\nAn international
  figure in architectural practice and urban design\, Libeskind's projects 
 include major cultural institutions\, universities\, hotels\, commercial c
 enters\, and residential work.\n\nBorn in Lódz\, Poland\, in 1946\, Libes
 kind was a virtuoso musician before studying architecture. He has taught a
 nd lectured at universities all over the world\, received numerous awards\
 , and designed world-renowned projects\, including the master plan for the
  World Trade Center in New York and the Jewish Museum Berlin.\n\nDaniel Li
 beskind was Head of Architecture at Cranbrook Academy of Art from 1978-198
 5. His new book\, "Edge of Order\," delves into Libeskind’s creative pro
 cess and inspirations. A book signing will precede the lecture where books
  will be available for sale.\n\nThe lecture is presented courtesy of the J
 . Robert F. Swanson Lecture Fund. It is hosted by the Cranbrook Academy of
  Art's Architecture department and the University of Detroit Mercy.\n\nThe
  lecture is free\, but advance registration is required. Please reserve yo
 ur spot via the EventBrite link below. The lecture will be held in deSalle
  Auditorium at Cranbrook Art Museum.\n\nCranbrook Art Museum will remain o
 pen until 8pm to allow visitors to tour our new exhibitions.\n\n\n\n&nbsp\
