Third Man Records Cass Corridor presents a night of Detroit punk history in partnership with the Cranbrook Art Museum’s “Too Fast to Live, Too Young to Die: Punk Graphics, 1976-1986” summer 2018 exhibit. Join local author, artist, and radio host Rob St. Mary and panelists for a conversation about punk rock in Detroit. From Bookie’s Club 870 to the Freezer Theatre and beyond, hear from those who were there, see footage from behind the scenes, and celebrate what still reverberates today. The night will also include clips of the upcoming doc “Dope, Hookers, and Pavement: The Real and Imagined History of Detroit Hard Core” and “Face the 80s.”

The panel consists of some of Detroit’s best story tellers and contributors to Detroit’s history of punk and hardcore:

• Otto Buj – “Dope, Hookers, and Pavement: The Real and Imagined History of Detroit Hard Core”
• Dana Novak – “Face the 80s”
• Tesco Vee – Touch and Go Records
• Corey Rusk – Touch and Go Records
• Gary Reichel – Tremor Records, Cinecyde
• Carolyn Striho – The Cubes
• Andy Wendler – Necros
