DESCRIPTION:Cranbrook Art Museum will host a free cyanotype constellation-m
 aking activity based on the artwork Finding Freedom by Sonya Clark. Each p
 articipant will create their own constellation fabric square to bring home
  using the sun and seeds. Finding Freedom is on view at Cranbrook Art Mus
 eum until September 24\, 2023\, as part of the exhibition Sonya Clark: We 
 Are Each Other.\n\nIn celebration of the 60th anniversary of the Detroit W
 alk to Freedom that culminated with a moving address by Rev. Dr. Martin Lu
 ther King Jr.\, which is widely considered a preview to his iconic "I Have
  a Dream" speech\, People for Palmer Park will commemorate the historic ev
 ent with various art displays. Guests can also enjoy musical performances 
 from Marion Hayden and Freedom Sounds — featuring Marion Hayden on bass\
 , A. Spencer Barefield on guitar\, Alvin Waddles on piano\, Tariq Gardner 
 on drums\, and Isis Damil on vocals.   \n\nA Knight Arts Challenge winne
 r\, the Freedom Arts Festival connects—and reconnects!—Detroiters to t
 heir neighborhood parks. Featuring music\, dance\, storytelling\, and art 
 reflecting Detroit’s multicultural tapestry\, the festival brings togeth
 er freedom\, racial justice\, history\, and connection to place through ar
 ts &amp\; culture.  \n\nThe Freedom Arts Festival is organized by the De
