SUMMARY:Free Cyanotype Activity - Griffin Garden
DESCRIPTION:Cranbrook Art Museum will host a free cyanotype constellation-m
 aking activity based on the artwork Finding Freedom by Sonya Clark. Each p
 articipant will create their own constellation fabric square to bring home
  using the sun and seeds. Finding Freedom is on view at Cranbrook Art Mus
 eum until September 24\, 2023\, as part of the exhibition Sonya Clark: We 
 Are Each Other.\n\nGriffin Garden’s mission is to provide the community 
 with a beautiful\, serene\, and safe space to participate in activities su
 rrounding wellness\, health\, education\, self-care\, and social interacti
 on. Located on the northwest side of Detroit on what was once 3 vacant lot
 s\, Griffin Gardens is a place where you can simply come to relax\, read a
  book\, and enjoy being surrounded by the flowers\, birds\, and pollinator
 s within the garden space. There will be other activities such as yoga and
  meditation classes\, cooking classes\, and various workshops for both adu
 lts and children available for the community’s enjoyment. \n\nPublic p
 rograms associated with Sonya Clark: We Are Each Other at Cranbrook Art Mu
 seum are supported by the Gilbert Family Foundation\, the Michigan Arts an
 d Culture Council\, and the National Endowment for the Arts.
