Cranbrook Art Museum will host a free cyanotype constellation-making activity based on the artwork Finding Freedom by Sonya Clark. Each participant will create their own constellation fabric square using the sun and seeds to bring home.  The artwork is on view until September 24, 2023, as part of the exhibition Sonya Clark: We Are Each Other.

Spend your workday on the Detroit Riverfront during Work from the Park and join Cranbrook Art Museum for a drop-in cyanotype activity from 12 pm – 2 pm. Whether you’re a remote worker or an in-office team, Robert C. Valade Park has everything you need to work along the water: outdoor and indoor seating with smaller individual tables and large picnic areas for co-working, free high-speed WiFi, restrooms + water bottle refill station, free hot and cold brew coffee from 9-11 a.m., lunch specials from Smokey G’s at Cafe at Valade, Happy Hour from 4-6 p.m. featuring live DJ

Free parking is located across the street in the lot at Chene + Guoin. Bike parking is available on-site, and the nearest MoGo station is two blocks away on Jos Campau.
