DESCRIPTION:Kenneth Tam (b. 1982) is a New York-based artist born in Queens
 \, NY. He is interested in locating vulnerabilities within ideas about nor
 mative masculinity and tries to vigorously apply pressure to those areas. 
 He has held solo exhibitions at MIT List Center for Visual Arts\, Boston (
 2017)\; Commonwealth and Council\, LA (2016)\; Night Gallery\, LA (2013). 
 Tam has been featured in group exhibitions at Hollybush Gardens\, London\,
  UK (2017)\; Made in LA\, The Hammer Biennial\, LA (2016). Tam is a recipi
 ent of Foundation for Contemporary Arts Emergency Grant (2016)\; The CORE 
 Residency Program\, The Museum of Fine Arts\, Houston\, TX (2015–2017)\;
  California Community Foundation Fellowship (2015)\; and Art Matters Found
 ation Grant (2013).\n\nTam holds a BFA from The Cooper Union and an MFA fr
