DESCRIPTION:Join art historian Deborah Kawsky as she delivers the lecture\,
  "Threads: The Life\, Career\, and Legacy of Ruth Adler Schnee." She will 
 speak about Adler Schnee's career and legacy as a female working on the bu
 ilt environment in the modernist era.\n\nDo you have a personal experience
  with Ruth Adler Schnee and/or the Adler/Schnee store? Kawsky asks that yo
 u share your story (and photos!) with us by responding to this email or by
  filling out a card at the lecture on Sunday. Kawsky will compile your exp
 eriences to further document the Adler/Schnee store's history and share wi
 th Ruth as we wrap up her retrospective exhibition.\n\nDeborah Lubera Kaws
 ky was born in Detroit\, Mich.\, which inspired her love for the city’s 
 art and architecture. Kawsky completed her undergraduate studies in art hi
 story at Smith College and her M.A. and Ph.D. degrees from Princeton Unive
 rsity. She is currently an Adjunct Associate Professor at Madonna Universi
 ty\, where she teaches art history courses and works with students and cor
 porate partners on community projects. Kawsky has lectured at the Detroit 
 Institute of Arts\, Cranbrook Art Museum and Palm Springs Modernism Week o
 n a range of art historical topics\, including midcentury modern design\, 
 Detroit art and architecture\, Italian Renaissance painting\, and women an
