SUMMARY:MillerKnoll Archives Tour
DESCRIPTION:Join us this summer for a behind-the-scenes visit to the Mille
rKnoll Archives\, a highly sought-after space that opened to the public l
ast year. This showstopping new space on the campus of the company’s
Design Yard houses the combined archives of Herman Miller\, Knoll\, and ot
her brands in the collective. This is a rare opportunity to see the new
MillerKnoll Archives and the inaugural exhibition in the space\, tit
led  Manufacturing Modern.  \n\nMillerKnoll’s origins trace back to
the early 20th-century Modernist movement\, which championed purposeful\,
innovative\, and accessible design. Visionaries like Florence Knoll\, Geo
rge Nelson\, Eero Saarinen\, Charles and Ray Eames\, Harry Bertoia\, Ludwi
g Mies van der Rohe\, and Marcel Breuer were deeply influenced by institut
ions such as the Bauhaus\, Cranbrook Academy of Art\, and the Museum of Mo
dern Art. Their groundbreaking philosophies shaped Knoll and Herman Miller
’s approach\, blending craft with industry to redefine interiors and rev
olutionize furniture production.  \n\nLed by Cranbrook Art Museum’s
MillerKnoll Special Projects Curator\, Bridget Bartal\, you’ll trac
e the story of how visionary designers revolutionized interiors\, blending
craft and industry to shape the way we live today. \n\nAlso on view is
Objetos de Hojalata para el Hogar\, an exhibition connecting MillerKnoll
and Cranbrook Academy of Art's Industrial Design program. The show feature
s 19 works\, acquired by MillerKnoll and designed by Leon Ransmeier\, Fabi
en Capello\, and Cranbrook's Industrial Design students\, that emphasize C
 ranbrook's craft\, place\, and contemporary practice.\n\nThis tour meets a
t MillerKnoll's Design Yard in Holland\, Michigan. Exact address and ar
rival instructions will be provided to ticketholders via email one week in
