n\n\n \n\n The MillerKnoll Archives — the new space on the campus of t
he company's Design Yard that houses the combined archives of Herman Mille
r\, Knoll\, and other brands in the collective. \n\n\n\n\n \n\n The Tes
t Lab — where today’s innovations are crafted and refined so they can

\n\n\n\n\n Round-trip charter bus from Cranbrook Art Museum (luxury veh

ll Director of Archives and Brand Heritage Amy Auscherman\, Senior Archivi

tory of how visionary designers revolutionized interiors\, blending craft
and industry to shape the way we live today. \n\nThis is a rare opportuni
ty to see the new MillerKnoll Archives and the inaugural exhibition Manufa
cturing Modern. MillerKnoll’s origins trace back to the early 20th-centu
ry Modernist movement\, which championed purposeful\, innovative\, and acc
essible design. Visionaries like Florence Knoll\, George Nelson\, Eero Saa
rinen\, Charles and Ray Eames\, Harry Bertoia\, Ludwig Mies van der Rohe\,
and Marcel Breuer were deeply influenced by institutions such as the Bauh
aus\, Cranbrook Academy of Art\, and the Museum of Modern Art. Their groun
dbreaking philosophies shaped Knoll and Herman Miller’s approach\, blend
ing craft with industry to redefine interiors and revolutionize furniture
production. \n\nThe private tour of  MillerKnoll’s Main Site manufact
uring facility will give guests an inside look at the manufacturing proces
ses behind the designs. \n\nParticipants on the tour will meet for coffee
and pastries at the Art Museum before boarding a luxury shuttle (with onb
oard restroom). A gourmet lunch and afternoon refreshments are included (m
enu selections provided in advance of travel). Bridget Bartal\, MillerKnol
l Curatorial Fellow at Cranbrook Art Museum\, will discuss her research fo
r the exhibition Eventually Everything Connects: Mid-Century Modern Design
in the US during the journey to Zeeland.  \n\n (Please note: an NDA is r
 equired to enter test facilities.)
