Ever wanted to try your hand at weaving but not sure where to start? Join us for an evening with CAA Fiber graduate, Margaret Hull. Learn weaving basics using a prepared table loom–including plain weave, tapestry, and various finishing techniques. Participants will leave with an original, woven wall hanging, and with instructions for finishing and hanging your piece. A wide selection of beautiful wools, cotton yarn, and cloth will be available for you to use. All experience levels welcome!

Margaret Hull is an artist working in costume, video, and performance. After graduating from the Maryland Institute College of Art in Baltimore, Margaret moved to New Orleans to teach adult literacy, then art at several charter schools while also maintaining her own studio practice. She has been awarded residencies in Léhon, France and Troy, NY. Her work has been exhibited at the New Orleans Museum of Art and the Ogden Museum of Southern Art among other sites throughout the U.S.
