Visit Cranbrook Academy of Art and Cranbrook Educational Community campus on Saturday, April 18, 2026, from 1-5pm! Event details and maps will be added as the event approaches.

OPEN STUDIOS is the only time of year the public can explore the studios of Cranbrook Academy of Art!

  • Explore the private studio spaces of Cranbrook Academy of Art artists
  • Graduate student art will be for sale in person.
  • Free admission to Cranbrook Art Museum
  • Free admission to Cranbrook Institute of Science (paid admission is required for Mystery of the Mayan Medallion, the Acheson Planetarium, and exploreLAB)
  • Enjoy on-site food trucks! The Grilled Wrap and Tacos Hernandez return, plus new this year, Feinated Coffee.

Check-in Locations

Please park in one of our designated lots. A shuttle will drop you off at check-in and other locations. Check in at Cranbrook Art Museum or at the intersection of Academy Way and Lone Pine Road for printed maps and guidance. Online registration closes on Friday, April 17 at 10pm. Walk-ups are welcome.

Parking and Transportation

Multiple free parking lots will be available. Please note that not all lots have shuttle service. Details will be available closer to the event.

Accessibility

The New Studios Building of Cranbrook Academy of Art, Cranbrook Art Museum, and Cranbrook Institute of Science are the only wheelchair-accessible areas during OPEN STUDIOS. The New Studios Building houses the Cranbrook Academy of Art Ceramics, Fiber, and Metalsmithing studios.

OPEN STUDIOS is a free public event. Your RSVP helps us coordinate parking, shuttles, and food trucks!
