DESCRIPTION:Join us for a live\, musical performance by Rachel Albee (MFA S
 culpture 2026) to celebrate the 2026 Graduate Degree Exhibition of Cranbro
 ok Academy of Art.\n\nIn Tool to Transcend\, Albee explores breath as a d
 ialogue\, calling out to other realms of existence. Two performers join Al
 bee to enliven the delicate instrument\, producing overlapping notes throu
 gh the repeated expulsion of their full lung capacities. The three resulti
 ng tones fluctuate between harmony and dissonance to stimulate an out-of-b
 ody experience. Vulnerability is inherent in this performance: the vulnera
 bility of sharing breath\, the vulnerability of proximity\, and the vulner
 ability of holding on to impermanence.\n\nThis intimate\, one-time-only pe
 rformance will take place promptly at 6:45 pm and last about 10 minutes. I
 t is free with museum admission.
