DESCRIPTION:Please join us on Thursday\, November 21 at 6pm for a free\, pu
 blic lecture by artist Leonard Suryajaya.\n\nCranbrook Academy of Art’s 
 2024-25 Public Lecture Series is free and open to the public at Cranbrook
 ’s deSalle Auditorium. Cranbrook Art Museum is open late and free to all
  on Thursdays\, please arrive early to explore our current exhibitions.\n\
 nSuryajaya’s photographs are held in major institutions including the Ar
 t Institute of Chicago\, Museum of Contemporary Photography\, and The Bloc
 k Museum. His work has been featured in numerous international exhibitions
  at Museum of Contemporary Art in Chicago\, Benaki Museum in Greece\, Foto
 museum Winterthur in Switzerland\, National Library in Singapore\, Esker F
 oundation in Canada\, and Aperture Gallery in New York. He’s received aw
 ards from prestigious institutions such as Guggenheim Fellowship\, Artadia
  Awards\, DCASE Esteemed Artist Award\, Aaron Siskind Foundation Award\, a
 nd Robert Giard Foundation Fellowship. He received an MFA from the SAIC an
 d both a BA and BFA from California State University Fullerton.
