SUMMARY:Score Study Concert
DESCRIPTION:The Cranbrook Academy of Art Violin Ensemble (which may or may 
 not include violins) presents a concert of experimental music. This perfor
 mance marks the culmination of the “Music for Artists” course\, offere
 d through the Program in Critical Studies at Cranbrook Academy of Art.\n\n
 This performance is centered around the exploration of sound as an artisti
 c medium and the idea of the musical score as a visual artifact. In it\, c
 ompositions by Pauline Oliveros and Gavin Bryars will be performed as well
  as newly composed works inspired by the Fluxus movement\, meditative list
 ening\, chance operations\, and multimedia scoremaking practices. Audience
  participation may be requested. Free and open to all!
