DESCRIPTION:\n 	Join us for Splice: Film and Collage\, a series of in-galle
 ry performances in response to artworks in the exhibition Mythic Chaos: 50
  Years of Destroy All Monsters.\n\nKris McKinney is a video installation a
 rtist using both digital and analogue tools to structure their practice as
  an experimental filmmaker. Combining their own animated graphics with arc
 hived images and pre-recorded events\, they create uniquely textured portr
 aits of bodies in motion and shifting virtual landscapes- with an added la
 yer of whimsical audio tunes to further characterize each video/ short fil
 m.\n\nThe members of the collective Destroy All Monsters have referred to 
 their performances as “Distorted Psychedelic Chaotic High Energy Level M
 usic.” Like their live performances\, the collages they co-created were 
 layered critiques of society\, using imagery from films\, comic books\, ma
 gazines\, and other pop cultural sources. Splice: Film and Collage invites
  contemporary performance artists working in layered time-based media to p
