DESCRIPTION:This event has been rescheduled to Wednesday\, July 24\, 6-8pm.
  \n\nSterling Toles will present a performance of Resurget Cinerbus\, an 
 immersive sound work that intertwines news coverage from the 1967 Detroit 
 Rebellion with distinct instrumental music and the artist’s narration of
  his father’s personal history. Sited in Gordon Park in July 2019\, the 
 historic location where the 1967 uprising began. Sterling Toles will play 
 the work live while holding court and conversation with curator\, Taylor R
 enee Aldridge and Manager of techno record label Underground Resistance\, 
 Cornelius Harris.\nLandlord Colors: Material Detroit is curated and co-pre
 sented by Taylor Renee Aldridge\, co-founder of ARTS.BLACK\; Laura Mott\, 
 senior curator at Cranbrook Art Museum\; and Ryan Myers-Johnson\, curator 
 and executive director of Sidewalk Detroit.\nThe project is generously sup
 ported by the Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts\, the Maxine and 
 Stuart Frankel Foundation\, The John S. and James L. Knight Foundation\, T
 he National Endowment for the Arts\, and donors to the Detroit Initiatives
