Cranbrook Art Associates and special guests are invited to join us at I.M. Weiss Gallery for a behind-the-scenes look at the making of our Spring 2023 exhibition with Cranbrook Academy of Art alumnus Forrest Hudes (MFA 3D Design 2021) and Detroit-based fiber artist Katie Shulman. Discover an exclusive, pre-exhibition of prototypes and material samples exploring the dialogue between woodworking and fiber art and a glimpse into the process of each artist in a casual Q&A session with the artists and gallery director Isabelle Weiss. Light food and drinks to be served.
Gallery entrance is in the rear of the building off of the parking lot accessible from Oakland Ave. which has plenty of free parking.
