SUMMARY:Wainger Workshop: Subtleism with Watercolor
DESCRIPTION:Join us for artist-led workshops in Wainger Gallery on select T
 hursdays! Each two-hour workshop will feature a different artmaking theme\
 , drawing inspiration from artwork in our collection. Together we will loo
 k closely at artworks and learn about the artist’s intentions and proces
 ses before making our own works of art with guidance from visiting artists
  and museum staff. \n\nOn January 30\, discover the power of Agnes Martin
 ’s signature format six-foot square canvas meticulously grided and paint
 ed in subtle hues. Play with color and pattern in watercolor inspired by M
 artin’s contemplative process. Participants will create a 1/6th scale (1
 2 inch by 12 inch) watercolor inspired by Martin’s artwork and philosoph
 ies.   \n\n$25 per participant\, $20 for ArtMembers\, intended for ages
  16 and up. Pre-registration is required through our website.
