SUMMARY:Wainger Workshop: Paper Collage & Marbling
DESCRIPTION:Join us for artist-led workshops in Wainger Gallery on select T
 hursdays! Each two-hour workshop will feature a different artmaking theme\
 , drawing inspiration from artwork in our collection. Together we will loo
 k closely at artworks and learn about the artist’s intentions and proces
 ses before making our own works of art with guidance from visiting artists
  and museum staff.\n\nOn February 6\, we will create handmade paper in a r
 elaxing\, hands-on workshop! We'll take inspiration from the techniques us
 ed in Neha Vedpathak’s mindful art in works like Lacuna and Charles McG
 ee’s use of layering and abstraction in the backgrounds of his monumenta
 l work Play Patterns II to learn about paper-based artmaking processes fro
 m collage to marbling.\n\n$25 per participant\, $20 for ArtMembers\, inten
 ded for ages 16 and up. Pre-registration is required through our website.
