Museum Educator

Museum Educators are responsible for the development, coordination, and delivery of programs in the topics of art, architecture, and design for a variety of constituents at the Cranbrook Art Museum. Museum Educators demonstrate excellent presentation, interpersonal, classroom management, and problem-solving skills. Familiarity with a range of artmaking, art education, design, and art historical topics are required. Museum Educators play an integral role in creating exceptional experiences at the museum and are expected to demonstrate excellent customer service, audience engagement, and problem-solving skills while helping to oversee staff and daily school programs on-site. 

The Museum Educator will help manage and lead visiting school groups from Detroit Public Schools December 2021 – May 2022, with the possibility to extend. Working 20 hours per week Monday – Friday, with other education responsibilities as assigned. Schedules for will vary and may occasionally require weekend or evening assignments.
