Gifts of Support

From inspiring a child’s creativity to fueling the imagination of thousands of museum visitors, your generous support of the Cranbrook Art Museum (CAM) means a world of possibilities for everyone who experiences our galleries and programs.

ArtMembers enjoy unlimited free gallery access, scholarly lectures by leading experts and discounts at the Museum Book Shelf and on popular programs like the Museum Makery and Art Camps. Members at the Friends level and above also enjoy reciprocal privileges at hundreds of museums nationwide.

Art Museum Fund gifts provide valuable (and 100% tax-free!) support of Museum operations – seven days a week, twenty-four hours a day. Whether open or closed, the museum is protecting our cultural assets and preparing exhibitions and programs that delight, engage and inform the entire community.

Estate Gifts are easier to designate than you think and provide an important source of support in addition to creating a meaningful legacy for you and your heirs. Even a percentage of your estate can have a lasting impact on the Museum. For certain donors, planned gifts can also offer specific tax benefits. Consider including CAM in your estate plans through a bequest in your will or living trust, or designate CAM as a beneficiary of a retirement plan or life insurance policy.

If you are interested in giving from a non-cash asset, such as appreciated securities, a gift from your IRA, or a grant from your donor-advised fund, please contact Autumn Parrott via email or 248.645.3289.

Cranbrook Art Museum currently houses a permanent collection of nearly 6,000 works of art, architecture, design, and craft. The scope of our holdings grows each year, due in large part to the generosity of individuals and organizations who wish to enhance our collection with a donated work of art.
