BLOOMFIELD HILLS, MICH., July 1, 2020 – Cranbrook Educational Community announced today that its public-facing venues will reopen in July. Cranbrook Gardens will reopen July 1, 2020. Cranbrook Art Museum and Cranbrook Institute of Science will reopen July 15, 2020. “After careful evaluation, we have decided that it is safe at this time to open our public spaces with some modifications,” said Dominic DiMarco, President of Cranbrook Educational Community. “We encourage visitors to check each organization’s website first before planning a visit. There will be timed ticketing, guest requirements for masks and social distancing and other important information. Bloomfield Hills, Mich., March 13, 2020​ - With the health and safety of our guests and staff as the top priorities during the COVID-19 outbreak, ​Cranbrook Art Museum​, ​Cranbrook Institute of Science​, and ​Cranbrook House will close to the public, beginning Friday, March 13. All buildings are scheduled to remain closed through April 5. Cranbrook Institute of Science and Cranbrook House plan to reopen on Monday, April 6, and Cranbrook Art Museum is scheduled to reopen on Tuesday, April 7. However, these dates will continue to be reassessed as the situation unfolds. Cranbrook Art Museum and Cranbrook Institute of Science are postponing all programs during the closure period.
