Hooded sweatshirt featuring the original Cranbrook Academy of Art logo designed by Eliel Saarinen (Finnish; August 20, 1873 – July 1, 1950) upon the opening of the school in the 1930s. In 1925, Founder George Gough Booth engaged Saarinen to design the campus of Cranbrook Educational Community, intended to be an American equivalent to the Bauhaus. Saarinen went on to live, teach, and became president of the Cranbrook Academy of Art in 1932.
